Marketing & Advanced Sales Support
The Marketing team organizes the annual meeting, regular workshops, and marketing
bulletins. The unit also works with members to help them market their practices as members of
The Nautilus Group.
In charge of this unit is Philip B. Cubeta, CLU, ChFC, MSFS. Phil joined New York Life in 1982 and has held a
number of
positions in Advanced Underwriting, Financial Planning, Training and Marketing. Prior to joining
The Nautilus Group, he headed New York Life's Charitable Giving Market. Phil holds a B.A. in English from
Williams College; an
M.A. in Philosophy and Psychology from Balliol College, Oxford; and an M.A. and M.Phil. in English
Language and Literature from Yale.
Edwin D. Hale
J.D., CLU, is a graduate of the University of Iowa and the University of Denver
College of Law. He entered the insurance industry in 1968. Ed has broad experience in advanced
underwriting, having worked as an agent and a director of training. Prior to joining The Nautilus Group,
he headed
the advanced sales department of a midwestern life insurance company.
Sanders H. Ray is Meetings and Special-Events Specialist. Formerly,
Sandy was an agent in New York Life's Dallas General
Office. He has an MBA from the University of Dallas with concentrations in marketing
and finance. He has more than 20 years experience in marketing, sales and finance with Fortune 500 companies and
is retired as a
senior officer in the Army Reserve. For eight years, he was an Adjunct Professor at the University
of Texas-Dallas teaching Strategic Management.
Brooke B. Zrno joined The Nautilus
Group as a Compliance and Marketing Associate in 1999. Brooke holds a B.A. in Business Communications
from The University of Texas - Dallas. She brings with her experience in training and development, having
traveled
extensively throughout the U.S. conducting sales and marketing seminars for a Fortune 500 Company.
Brooke's focus is comprised of the Associates Program for Nautilus meetings, marketing related issues, as well as assisting
with the Technology Systems and Reporting department of Nautilus, helping to create spreadsheet analysis.
