Competition Actuary

A Competition Actuary is available for competitive, market intelligence, and product issues and questions. This includes, quantitative analysis/reverse engineering of competitors’ products and illustrations, serving as a resource on New York Life and other companies’ products, and representing Nautilus members on home office committees.

Lance H. Cary, ASA, MAAA, serves as Competition Actuary for The Nautilus Group. Lance has a broad actuarial background, including financial reporting experience for two Dallas-based life insurance companies and working as a member of the mergers and acquisitions team of an actuarial consulting firm. Prior to joining The Nautilus Group, he worked for Winterthur Life Re Insurance Company, performing a number of actuarial functions, including pricing of life and annuity reinsurance. Lance holds a B.S. in Mathematics from Texas Tech University.
